The Noble Roots

Our character is born from the past.
Galli is the legacy of those who believed in it

The story

Galli Lumynos was born from an ancient tradition, intertwined with the blood, land and honor of a family that has spanned generations, guarding its value like a treasure.

Our roots are in Laterza, a land of olive trees, peasant nobility and heraldic symbols. Here lived Count Galli, my great-grandfather, a man whose name was synonymous with respect and integrity. His original coat of arms depicted a proud rooster with an olive branch in its beak, surrounded by six spheres, four flowers and two stars: a hymn to peace, honor, fertility and light.

But it was my grandfather who gave a new voice to that symbol, transforming it into a declaration of strength and truth. The rooster, king of the court and herald of the day, now carried a dead snake in his jaws. A powerful image: the triumph of sincerity over gossip, of courage over falsehood. For him, the snake represented the dangers of the world, and the rooster that defeated it was the symbol of our family: alive, proud, combative and luminous.

That victorious rooster now stands out on my skin, as a tattoo and as a declaration of identity. It is the same one you find on our bottles of Galli Lumynos, because our wine – like our history – is born from noble roots, from victorious battles, from a clear vision: to shine proudly in the midst of darkness.
